Green Job Skills Training with Work Preserve

Welcome to Historic Ithaca's Sustainable Building Trades & Employment Training Program page for Work Preserve, where we offer comprehensive employment training for individuals facing barriers to employment. Our program aims to empower individuals of all ages and backgrounds with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the green job workforce.

Program Highlights

Specialized Training

We specialize in providing training for young adults aged 14+, as well as individuals with varying abilities.

Training with Reimbursement

Participants will be eligible for a $540 reimbursement upon completion of the program that will cover any costs associated with providing their volunteer services (travel costs, food, phone, child care, etc) .

Certificate of Completion

Graduates receive a certificate of completion, recognizing their achievement and skill development.

Preparation for Entry into

Green Job Workforce

Our program equips participants with the skills needed to enter the growing field of green jobs.

Access to Other Programs

Participants gain access to other employment training programs in Tompkins County.

Training Details

Duration: Our program consists of 35 hours of training, completed over 2 to 4 weeks.
Extended Training Option: Participants have the opportunity for extended training, lasting up to 6 to 8 weeks
